Javier Baez goes viral for hitting home run while blowing bubble gum bubble

Javier Baez did all he could to help the Cubs stave off elimination in Game 4 of the National League Championship Series on Wednesday night. That includes hitting a home run while blowing a giant bubble gum bubble. Baez — who had been 0-for-20 at the plate heading into the game — came to the dish in the second inning, and crushed a solo home run. He later hit another one in the fifth inning, and did so while blowing a bubble, which is the most Baez thing ever. Put it in a museum. pic.twitter.com/60ATYhKZrX — Chicago Cubs (@Cubs)...

It didn’t take long for things to get heated, either — which makes us wonder if there’s some history there — as the two got into it in the second quarter of the game. Things got a bit chippy when Smart attempted to set a pick on Delly, who responded with an elbow that knocked Smart backward and sent him to the floor. Willson Contreras crushed a 491-foot home run off Wrigley Field video board (VIDEO)

Contreras saw a fastball from Alex Wood that got too much of the plate, and he did not miss it. The ball traveled 491 feet and caromed off the video board, and Contreras knew it was gone as soon as he hit it. Giannis Antetokounmpo destroys Celtics throwing down alley-oop (VIDEO)

Aron Baynes tried to disrupt Giannis Antetokounmpo’s attempt to finish off an alley-oop during Thursday’s Celtics-Bucks game, and that proved to be a very bad idea. Baynes played great defense on the play, and if Antetokounmpo didn’t have ridiculously long arms, there’s no way he would’ve been able to throw down the dunk. But he does, and so when the ball was floated more than five feet away from the hoop, Antetokounmpo grabbed it with both hands and slammed it through the basket — over Baynes. This is insanity! #FearTheDeer pic.twitter.com/83gSSTehpM — Milwaukee Bucks (@Bucks) October 19, 2017 It...

The Patriots and Falcons are set to battle it out on Sunday night in a Super Bowl LI rematch, but both teams appear to be making sure they don’t get caught up in what happened in February. Atlanta’s players and coaches made it clear that they put the Super Bowl collapse behind them over the summer, although Sunday’s embarrassing loss to the Dolphins would suggest otherwise. The Falcons jumped out to a 17-0 lead at halftime, yet failed to score a point in the second half. Atlanta lacked an identity on offense in the final two stanzas of the...
