Alain Vigneault was fired as the New York Rangers head coach today after posting a 34-39-9 record this season. The Rangers finished out their season with a 5-0 loss to the Philadelphia Flyers today. The Rangers finish the year in last place in the Metropolitan division and miss the playoffs. NYR have fired head coach Alain Vigneault.
