It's that time of the month again in WWE as there next special event is this Sunday as 'BattleGround' has been moved up the calendar from where it was last year. As the next event after this is one of the big four 'SummerSlam' it may be hard to see this being a great event, but the card is pretty solid. Here are the under card matches.

Intercontinental Championship Battle Royal

Cesaro, Kofi Kingston, Great Khali, Damien Sandow, Big E Langston, Rob Van Dam, Curtis Axel, Ryback, Alberto Del Rio, Bo Dallas, Dolph Ziggler, Fandango, U.S. Champion Sheamus, The Miz, R-Truth, Xavier Woods, Zack Ryder, Heath Slater, Adam Rose, Sin Cara, Titus O'Neil, Fernando or Diego (Los Matadores)

Peter Schifani:

Well when this match was announced due to Barrett's injury forcing the title be vacated we expected Cesaro to be the guy head and shoulders above the rest to be crowned the new I/C champion. Since Cesaro has lost several matches to Kofi Kingston, this could be one where Ziggler "steals" it.

Mark Eddinger (Motorsports101):

Of the numerous competitors in this match there are only a few of them that can actual win. I think the final four will come down to Cesaro, Alberto Del Rio, Dolph Ziggler, and Sheamus. This could go many ways but I am going to pick Alberto Del Rio to win the Intercontinental Championship. Bad New Barrett will hand over his vacated title to the Mexican superstar.

WWE Tag-Team Championship (Two out of Three Falls match)

Jimmy and Jey (The Usos) versus Luke Harper and Erick Rowan (Wyatt Family)

Peter Schifani:

Well this is another opportunity for the Wyatt clan to take some gold. Considering it's best two out of three falls we would expect the powerhouse duo to finally capture the Tag-Team titles here, and then The Usos go back into chase mode at 'SummerSlam.'

Mark Eddinger (Motorsports101):

The Tag-Team Championship is destined to be in the hands of the Wyatt Family and I thought it was going to happen at 'Money In The Bank.' So I'll take Harper and Rowan to win this match by picking up two pin falls to one over The Usos, who have come a long way in their performance since becoming champions.

Divas Championship

AJ Lee (C) versus Paige

Peter Schifani:

Oh this is the match many fans have been waiting for, since there first two contests were relatively short. We hope we get a long feud over the Divas Championship between these two women. We hope they continue to trade the title for many events to come, and expect Paige to take it back here.

Mark Eddinger (Motorsports101):

The friendly act that these two are putting on seems to be a little lame but the match should be pretty entertaining for Divas action. I expect AJ to retain the title and start another lengthy title reign over the Divas division.

Jack Swagger w/Zeb Colter versus Rusev w/Lana

Peter Schifani:

It's the battle of a "Real American" Jack Swagger versus a "fake" Russian Rusev, since he's supposed to be from Bulgaria. Anyway this should be a better foe for Rusev and expect Swagger to get some help from Zeb to pick up the win here.

Mark Eddinger (Motorsports101):

Oddly enough this might be the match I'm the most excited about for 'BattleGround.' Ever since Rusev came on the screen and Lana has been spewing her anti-USA rhetoric I was itching for the face turn of Jack Swagger and the "We The People" movement. As much as I'd like to see Swagger win it will be Rusev coming out on top but the feud will not stop there.

Kick-Off Match:

Naomi versus Cameron

Peter Schifani:

Now that the teasing of this break-up is finally over, we can see who is the better woman in the ring between these two. It should obviously be Naomi but in order to further this budding feud we say Cameron wins here.

Mark Eddinger (Motorsports101):

It's an actually intriguing Divas match and the championship is not even at stake. It could go either way but I will take Naomi to win.

Well that's all for part one of our 'BattleGround' preview, tomorrow we will focus in on the three upper card matches, including the main event for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. The card for this special event has been filled out better than the previous one, 'Money In The Bank.'
