WWE ‘Money in the Bank’ Special Event Preview, Part One

So at the beginning of June we got 'Payback' and now four weeks later WWE gives us 'Money In The Bank' as there next special event on the WWE Network. Up next in July will be 'Battleground' before the biggest event of the Summer in August.

WWE Tag-Team Championship

Jimmy and Jey (The Usos) (C) versus Luke Harper and Erick Rowan (Wyatt Family)

Peter Schifani:

Since WWE teased a title change over in England while they were on tour, it certainly seems like it's going to happen here at 'Money In The Bank.' The Wyatt Family will have some gold in there group and The Usos will go back to trying to regain there championships.

Mark Eddinger (Motorsports101):

The Wyatt Family has wrecked havoc over WWE for some time now, however, none of their members have held WWE gold yet. That changes Sunday night as Luke Harper and Erick Rowan become WWE Tag-Team Champions. They had new intro music Monday on Raw which to me is the sign that they will become the champs and the Usos will be back to chase mode.

Divas Championship

Paige (C) versus Naomi

Peter Schifani:

I am still not sure Naomi is ready to be champion, so expect Paige to retain the butterfly emblazoned championship here. Seeing Cameron and Naomi ignite a feud possibly because of Naomi's loss will certainly be played out on season three of "Total Divas."

Mark Eddinger (Motorsports101):

It is Naomi's turn to take a crack at Paige for the Divas Championship, however, this match in my opinion is in place more to spur on a rivalry between the Funkadactyls. I suspect Cameron will somehow cost Naomi in this match which will allow Paige to retain the title. With the original Funkadactyl himself, aka Brodus Clay, long gone from the company now there is no reason Noami and Cameron stay together.

proposed matches:

Big E Langston versus Alexander Rusev w/Lana

Peter Schifani:

While this match is not yet official, it certainly seems like it will happen based upon the sneak attack by Rusev on Big E recently. Unfortunately for Big E this still seems tailor made for Rusev to "crush" and gain another win.

Mark Eddinger (Motorsports101):

Rusev and Big E have gone at it for awhile now and it seems likely that the two big men will clash again this time at 'Money In The Bank.' Rusev along with the Ravishing Russian will get the upper hand in this one over Big E, who might just be past his push after losing the I/C Championship awhile back to Bad News Barrett.

Kick-off Match:

Stardust and Goldust versus RybAxel (Ryback and Curtis Axel)

Peter Schifani:

The Brotherhood has already gotten a win over RybAxel since Cody Rhodes transformed into Stardust, but in order to end things between these duos another win will cement things. Almost anything is possible for a kick-off match but with Josh Matthews now gone from the company and a new host is expected for the kick-off show, so who knows what match will also occur just prior to 'Money In The Bank.'

Mark Eddinger (Motorsports101):

RybAxel called out Stardust and Goldust on Main Event Tuesday for a match at 'Money In The Bank' so this will be on the card, with the question being where? It could be the kick-off match but it could even squeak on the main card. Maybe Fandango's love triangle can be featured with a divas match between Layla and Summer Rae in the kick-off match instead. With Cody Rhodes' new angle of Stardust debuting with a quick win over RybAxel I feel the result this go around will be very similar with the strange brothers being victorious.

Now if WWE had announced more matches for this next special event it would make it easier for us to predict exactly what could happen with the outcomes of said matches. Tomorrow for part two of course we will preview the two ladder matches, one for the contract, the other for the vacated WWE World Championship.
