This past week in the world of pro wrestling/sports entertainment saw WWE continue to draw out what would happen to Daniel Bryan and the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and TNA continue it's weird spiral towards 'Slammiversary' in two weeks. The action in TNA is so predictable it's hard to watch any more.
Well this past week in TNA was fairly normal with there next pay-per-view 'Slammiversary' on the horizon. The main event of Impact was TNA World Champion Eric Young battling Bully Ray with EC3 as the special guest referee and MVP at ring side. After Ethan Carter decided to hold the arm of Bully Ray from using his famous elbow, Bully kicked EC3 in the face and out of the ring. Then MVP, Bobby Lashley and Kenny King attacked both men, until a returning Samoa Joe came out to even the odds and turn things in the favor of the faces. More wounds were opened up in the saga between Madison Rayne and the Beautiful People of TNA Knockouts Champion Angelina Love and Velvet Sky, as the newest knockout Brittany called out Madison over not wanting to team with her versus the Beautiful People. We hope TNA does something creatively different soon because this week after week of recycling ideas is really boring.
On Monday Night Raw the storyline surrounding the fate of the WWE World Championship was moved along to tonight at 'Payback' with Stephanie McMahon making the ultimatum that either he surrender the titles tonight or because Brie had shoved Stephanie several weeks back, she would be fired! The rest of the 'Payback' card was settled overall this week with a Divas Championship match being added so that the crazy post-match antics of Alicia Fox could be seen again after she competes against Paige. A late addition was the match between two powerhouses as the former Intercontinental Champion Big E will collide with the "Bulgarian Brute" Rusev with the "ravishing Russian" Lana in his corner.
Once again the world of pro wrestling's top two promotions is summarized for the past week's action. As the Summer heats up all around the United States the action should also heat up inside and outside the ring all around pro wrestling, and we will bring you that news right here.
