Now we move on to the upper card matches for WWE's 'Payback' special event/pay-per-view. Also will Daniel Bryan be forced to surrender the WWE World Heavyweight Championship or see his new bride, Brie Bella, fired by Stephanie McMahon? In case you missed part one you may read it here.
or The Authority of Stephanie McMahon has stated she will fire Bryan's wife Brie Bella
We could really see Bryan continuing his NO stance and defy The Authority once again especially if Brie has asked for time off to be with her new husband while he heals up. Unfortunately the reality of his neck injury will make him do the right thing and surrender the belts with a new champion being crowned by/at 'Money in the Bank.'
Mark Eddinger (MS101):
I have been swaying back and forth on whether I think Daniel Bryan will hand over the WWE World Heavyweight championship and save Brie Bella's job or not. I think it comes down to two things, how long he is going to be out with the injury and if Brie is planning some other things which would make her want to step away for a period of time. The fact that Bryan said his neck injury was more serious than first thought on RAW lends me to believe he will hand the titles over
Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns versus Triple H, Randy Orton and Batista
This match seems to be just another vehicle for The Shield to go over on Evolution. Since the element of wrestlers being eliminated has been added along with no holds barred, we can see possible three-on-one, or two-on-one scenarios. In the end The Shield will prevail with Reigns getting the win over Triple H as the rest will be eliminated before then.
Mark Eddinger (Motorsports101):
It was weird that The Shield asked for a rematch when they had won the match at 'Extreme Rules' but anyway the match a month ago was very high caliber and this one with the elimination style should be no different. In the end I think that it will come down to Roman Reigns against Triple H with Reigns coming out on top for The Shield once again.
Last Man Standing Match:
John Cena versus Bray Wyatt
In order for this program to continue one might say Bray Wyatt needs another victory over John Cena, but we say no this one can go to Cena and things will continue into 'Money in the Bank' between these two men. Especially since you have to force the other man to basically be unconscious Bray will revel in the fact that the "monster" within Cena will be unleashed here in order to silence Bray.
Mark Eddinger (Motorsports101):
For the sake of moving on this feud needs to end here, RAW has not been getting good ratings and the fact that this program is one of the main stories right now is a part of that for sure. One thing for sure will happen in this match and that is The Usos getting involved to even the count and a WWE Tag Team title match will be set up for down the road between them and Rowan and Harper. I expect John Cena to come out on top here to avenge his loss to Bray at 'Extreme Rules.'
That concludes our preview of all of the matches on the card for 'Payback' which will be the third special event for WWE that will air on the WWE Network since it debuted in February. It has certainly changed the landscape of how pro wrestling is watched, but is it doing enough for WWE to keep it's brand foremost in the minds of the WWE Universe? Only time will tell, but the first two "pay-per-views" have been solid broadcasts and hopefully 'Payback' will be as well.Tags: Bray Wyatt, Daniel Bryan, Evolution, John Cena, pay-per-view, Payback, Roman Reigns, The Shield, Triple H, World Heavyweight Champion, Wrestling, WWE, WWE Network
