Normally in the wake that follows 'WrestleMania' WWE takes a closer look at there roster and decides to release lower end talent. Such has not been the case as yet for the main talent, but today the ax fell for some of the talents in there developmental territory NXT.
Earlier today WWE released several of there talents in there developmental system known as NXT as reported by our colleagues at WrestleSite here. The most notable release was Mason Ryan, who had a "cup of coffee" on the main roster as part of the second version of Nexus before being sent back down to be polished up even more. Well despite his size, and comparisons to Batista, WWE ran out of patience and let him go. Also given there walking papers were Shaul Guerrero (working as Raquel Diaz) the daughter of Eddie and Vickie, who was in her second stint with WWE as part of NXT. Two talents who resided from the United Kingdom, Danny Burch and Oliver Grey were also wished luck in there future endeavors. Lastly a signee from a little over a year ago, Sarah Backman, known in NXT as Shara, was granted her release as well. She is best known as an arm wrestling champion from Sweden.
NXT will be holding another live special event on Thursday night May 29th entitled 'Takeover' airing on the WWE Network. These talents will no longer be involved in that but certainly NXT Champion Adrian Neville will be, if he gets by the challenge of Brodus Clay on tonight's episode. Also tonight there are some NXT Women's Championship tournament first round matches as Sasha Banks takes on Bayley as well as Natalya and Layla fight it out. More matches will occur as the month goes on leading to the finals at 'Takeover.'
