Now that the 'Royal Rumble; is in the rear view mirror on the road to 'WrestleMania' we can start to focus in on how the card should shape up besides the Main Event. There seems to already be a rather large negative reaction to Batista being the winner of the Rumble match and going straight to the 'WrestleMania' WWE World Heavyweight Championship match.
The WWE Universe and very many fans are looking for WWE to make 'WrestleMania' 30 on April 6th in New Orleans a very memorable event as it's the first pay-per-view that will be available after the WWE Network debuts on February 24th.
The Undertaker is sitting on a streak of 21 victories with zero defeats in his 21 'WrestleMania' appearances, but in recent years he has been taken to the limit in his once-a-year matches by both Triple H and CM Punk. It's been very hard to pinpoint who WWE will put up against "the Streak" this year because many fans seem to believe the streak could finally end. Here are some of the names being tossed about to face "the Phenom" at 'WrestleMania' and why:
Brock Lesnar: the match-up between these two has been rumored for a few years now due to an incident that occurred when Lesnar was still in UFC and 'Taker was in attendance at an event Lesnar was apart of. The MMA moves would come fast and furious between these two and it would put Lesnar so over the top if he was the man to end the streak that Paul Heyman's head would swell to three times it's current bulbous size.
Sting: now nothing is official yet between Sting and WWE coming to terms on a deal, but the iron is the hottest for one to be struck in some time. The build-up, albeit short, would be awesome and put the WWE Universe on edge every week on Monday Night Raw. The rumor seems to be if Sting does come aboard that the match between these two would be better served for 'WrestleMania' 31, but we would love it to occur this year.
Daniel Bryan: Yes!, this is one possibility that might send fans into a euphoric tizzy the likes of which might never be seen again. If Bryan were to face-off with the phenom and come away with the victory ending the streak then there would be nothing else WWE and "The Authority" could do except basically hand Bryan the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, and 'Extreme Rules' emanates from the state of Washington, in which Bryan makes his home.
Well that's all for part one, in upcoming parts we will feature possible opponents for Randy Orton and John Cena, as well as Daniel Bryan and CM Punk, since we still believe Punk will return before 'Mania. His leaving WWE this past week has put a lot of creative plans on hold, so stay tuned for any info as we get it, we will of course pass it along.
