Top 10 World Heavyweight Champions in WWE: Part Two

Now we advance our collaborative countdown of the top 10 World Heavyweight Champions in WWE since the former WCW World title was absorbed during the acquisition of WCW in 2001. Here are number seven, six and five on our list, and if you missed 10, nine and eight you may read part one here.

Number Seven: Jeff Hardy

Had two World Heavyweight Championship title reigns, practically back-to-back, the first starting on June 7, 2009 when he defeated Edge at 'Extreme Rules.' He also lost the title the same night as CM Punk cashed in his MITB contract, but Hardy got back at Punk by defeating to recapture the "big gold" belt on July 26, 2009 at 'Night of Champions.'

Number Six: Batista

Began his first World Heavyweight Championship title reign by defeating former Evolution teammate Triple H at 'WrestleMania' 21 on April 3, 2005. He second time holding the gold was at 'Survivor Series' on November 26, 2006 by defeating "King" Booker T. On September 16, 2007 at 'Unforgiven' he began his third reign by defeating The Great Khali and Rey Mysterio. He had a fourth, and final, reign that began on October 26, 2008 at 'Cyber Sunday' when he beat Chris Jericho.

Number Five: CM Punk

Having had three reigns in total with the World Heavyweight Championship, Punk made out list at the number five position. He defeated Edge on June 30, 2008 for his first taste of the "big gold", then, as we mentioned above, his second championship was a MITB contract cash-in over Jeff Hardy, and finally at 'SummerSlam' on August 23, 2009 he defeated Jeff Hardy.

The next part of the countdown, part three, will focus in on number four, three and two on our list. Lastly we will conclude with the number one World Heavyweight Champion during the titles 11 years in WWE.
