This past week in the world of sports entertainment/professional wrestling may have been the most interesting in some time with the anticipation of the WWE Universe for the "Champion of Champions" match at 'TLC.' Ring of Honor held 'Final Battle' this past weekend with a title changing hands during the event.

As WWE had there "go home" Monday Night Raw show before the 'TLC' pay-per-view they had a Championship Ascension ceremony for both the WWE Championship and the World Heavyweight Championship. Both Randy Orton and John Cena gave there final speeches before last night's event. It was an epic conclusion to Raw that hasn't been seen since Brock Lesnar hit the F5 on John Cena that followed 'WrestleMania' 28. Most of the final matches for 'TLC' were set-up during the past week except the last minute addition of the Fatale Four-Way for the WWE Tag-Team Championship. Last night was the season finale of "Total Divas" in which we saw the proposal and acceptance between Daniel Bryan and Brie Bella, which occurred a few months ago.

In TNA they held there "Feast of Fired" match to give three wrestlers shots at championship gold, and one a pink slip, meaning they will be gone from TNA. The four wrestlers to gain the briefcases were: "DJ" Zema Ion, Ethan Carter III, Chavo Guerrero and Gunner, who took out his partner James Storm to gain the final case. It will be interesting to see of these four guys will be "fired", if we had to pick one we would say Zema Ion goes. This Thursday will be 'Final Resolution' on Impact, with a the finals of the World Heavyweight Championship tournament between Magnus and Jeff Hardy in a "Dixieland" match, plus Kurt Angle and Bobby Roode continue there feud in a two-out-of-three falls match. Plus the Knockouts will have a tag match with Champion Gail Kim and Lei'D Tapa versus ODB and the returning Madison Rayne.

Finally, ROH held 'Final Battle' in New York City at the Hammerstein Ballroom this past Saturday the 14th. Adam Cole defended the ROH World title against Michael Elgin and Jay Briscoe, as Matt Hardy was revealed to be the mentor to the current champion. Post match Chris Hero returned and elbowed both Cole and Hardy, also knocking out Cole with his golden elbow pad. A new Television Champion was crowned as Tommaso Ciampa defeated Matt Taven for the championship.

Well those were highlights of the past week in pro wrestling. The nature of 2014 for WWE will be revealed post-'TLC' and what direction the juggernaut will head in for years to come.
