Since WWE has decided to unify it's two World Championships in it's "Champion of Champions" match at 'TLC' on Sunday we look at who we believe are the top 10 World Heavyweight Champions since it came over to WWE when they purchased WCW. In this first part of the countdown we look at number 10, nine and eight, with two more parts for seven, six and five, then four, three and two, with number one all by themselves.
Number 10: Undertaker
Had three title reigns with the World Heavyweight Championship. The first beginning on April 1st, 2007 at 'WrestleMania' 23 defeating Batista. The following year at 'WrestleMania' 24 he defeated Edge to begin his second reign on March 30, 2008. His last reign began on October 4, 2009 defeating CM Punk.
Number Nine: Shawn Michaels
Michaels only time holding the World Heavyweight Championship was arguably one that helped legitimize the title in WWE. He defeated Triple H, who was "awarded" the title by then Raw General Manager Eric Bischoff, in the first ever "Elimination Chamber" match at 'Survivor Series' on November 17, 2002.
Number Eight: Randy Orton
Also held the World Heavyweight Championship on three separate occasions. His first reign began when he defeated Chris Benoit at 'SummerSlam' on August 15, 2004. His next two reigns would not occur again until 2011, when he traded the title with Christian, beating him on May 6, 2011 and again on August 14, 2011 at 'SummerSlam.'
