Last night on Monday Night RAW we saw how WWE was beginning to reshape there storylines heading towards 'Survivor Series' on November 24th. While no matches have yet been announced we begin to speculate what might be seen at there last big traditional pay-per-view of 2013.
Many fans have been left feeling unfulfilled with the fact that ultimately Randy Orton came away with the WWE Championship at 'Hell in a Cell' especially with Daniel Bryan being screwed by his mentor, Shawn Michaels, at the finish of the match. Daniel Bryan got a small measure of revenge after Shawn Michaels apologized to Bryan but berated Bryan into shaking his hand. Bryan then proceeded to drop Michaels into the "Yes lock" before officials broke it up. Later in the evening both Daniel Bryan and CM Punk were attacked by The Wyatt Family, leading to speculation about a match between all five, and may be a traditional 'Survivor Series' elimination match with more competitors being added.
The biggest pop of the night was actually the MITB cash-in by Damien Sandow at the opening of Raw versus the new World Heavyweight Champion John Cena. Cena had opened Raw and said his peace about being back and becoming champion, but then was viciously attacked by Sandow after Sandow had threatened to not cash-in "tonight." Sandow injured Cena's left arm to the point where neither of Cena's first two attempt "A.A." finishers could not be completed, nor could his "STF." The crowd was heard to be chanting "This Is Awesome." during the contest. Unfortunately for Sandow in the end Cena's third attempt to hit the "attitude adjustment" came with a three count and a defense of his title.
Lastly the "fired" Big Show came out at the end of Raw during the WWE Championship celebration of Randy Orton by "The Authority" of Triple H, Stephanie McMahon and The Shield. He wound up leveling Orton with his "WMD" right fist, and told Triple H he had "nothing to lose" since he has now repeatedly threatened a lawsuit against Triple H and WWE. So will this eventually lead to a one-on-one match between the two at 'Survivor Series' or both of them backing teams in another traditional elimination tag match? That remains to be seen how this evolves over the coming weeks.
So will all of these current storyline changes lead to the WWE Universe, and fans in general, renewing there interest in WWE, or will many stay away from watching what many consider a "stale" brand of creativity on the part of WWE. It remains the hope of very many fans that WWE will put Daniel Bryan back into the title picture and hopefully and long, and deserved, run as WWE Champion. That may not occur until 'Royal Rumble' in January, 2014 though so they need to be patient until then.
