On Monday Night RAW the WWE Universe saw a somewhat rare (of late) title change that saw the Rhodes brothers, Cody and Dustin (Goldust) capture the WWE Tag-Team Championship from the fifth longest reigning champions (since 2002), The Shield. Since all of the remaining champions are "heels" does this mean we will see more title changes to "faces" in the near future?
At WWE 'Hell in a Cell' it is widely expected that when John Cena returns and challenges Alberto Del Rio for the World Heavyweight Championship that he will win that title to help return some prestige to the title. That would give the "face" wrestlers two championships, with the possibility of a third coming to Daniel Bryan should he ultimately capture the WWE Championship inside the "cell." It remains to be seen if having his mentor Shawn Michaels as the special guest referee will benefit Bryan, or will HBK be in the back pocket of "The Authority" as Triple H and he are close personal friend both inside and outside the squared circle.
Since two thirds of The Shield is now without a championship title around there waists how long will it be before Dean Ambrose, widely regarded as the best amongst the group, will surrender the United States Championship? We believe he could keep that title for the rest of 2013 at least, and may be into early 2014 since the title reign of the Rhodes brothers may wind up being short, as surely "The Authority" must be scheming to get the belts back to Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns.
The reigns of Intercontinental Champion Curtis Axel and Divas Champion AJ Lee have also become a bit stale in the minds of many in the WWE Universe. The problem there is that it's hard to say who will emerge from "mid-card" status or amongst the "Total Divas" to rip those titles away from the current title holders. If it's not going to happen with the remaining matches to be announced for 'Hell in a Cell' hopefully by 'Survivor Series' in November the WWE will reveal who may become some of the new champions.
