Just shy of one full year after his heart attack, WWE Hall of Famer Jerry "The King" Lawler is returning to the ring. On September 12, 2012 Jerry Lawler collapsed at the commentary table during a match on Monday Night Raw. It was unclear at the time what had happened but fans were later told Lawler had suffered a heart attack and thankfully he would recover. Two months later Jerry made his return to the WWE and returned to his duties as color commentary on Monday Night Raw.
Some wondered if it was too soon for Jerry to be returning but he has not missed a beat since coming back. Lawler did actually return to the ring 8 months after his massive heart attack but was in an 8 person tag match. During this match he got in offense but did not take any bumps despite picking up the win for his team.
On September 7, 2013 Lawler will compete in his first singles match since that scary incident for USACW. He will be in the main event of the show against Mike Rapada so the demand on his body will be higher this time. King has been cleared by his doctors and has stated he feels better than ever so congratulations to him for being able to return to the ring to do something he loves.
