In Oakland, California at a WWE Live event this past Sunday the Big Show made his return to the ring. He won a battle royale to determine a contender for Alberto Del Rio's World Heavyweight Championship later in the show. He then went on to face ADR later that night and defeated the current World Heavyweight Champion by DQ after ADR attacked him with a chair.
Big Show had undergone hip surgery to deal with a nagging injury which put him out of action. He was scheduled to return a few weeks ago but that was put on hold as it was believed he was still not fully recovered from his hip surgery. With no reports of any issues following his return this past Sunday it seems like it won't be too long until Show is back on television inside a WWE ring.
During his recovery Show even visited the WWE's new Performance Center in Orlando, FL to help rehab his hip. Being able to help injured and recovering superstars return to ring shape is certainly a benefit a facility like this presents that may not have been as accessible before. There have been reports of a program between The Shield vs Mark Henry and Big Show at Summerslam so we may be seeing Show on tv as soon as tonight to help set up that match. One thing that is for sure is there is about to be a giant boost in the action at WWE.
