Terence Crawford vs. Amir Khan – Results

Tonight, live from the world famous Madison Square Garden in New York City, a welterweight boxing showdown will go down to determine a WBO champion.

Terence Crawford will put his WBO World Welterweight Championship on the line when he faces the veteran Amir Khan.

“Bud” looks to bring his win streak to 35-straight and pick up his 26th career knockout. A former super lightweight champion, Crawford beat two unbeaten fighters in 2018 to win and defend his welterweight title. Taking out Jeff Horn and Jose Benavidez Jr. in the span of four months. His excellent and methodical work led him to ninth and twelfth round stoppages respectively in his 2018 outings.

Looking to hand Terence Crawford his first career defeat, Amir “King” Khan steps up to the plate in NYC. Following a 2016 loss to the great Canelo Alvarez, the United Kingdom rep took two years away from competing. He returned in 2018, and the former WBC title-holder promptly stopped Phil Lo Greco in round one before a twelve round battle with Samuel Vargas back in September.

Though handily winning on the scorecards, Khan and Vargas exchanged knockdowns in their bout. Vargas was dropped in the second and third frame, whereas Khan was dropped once at the tail-end of round two.

In addition to Crawford/Khan, the pay-per-view broadcast will feature three other bouts.

The lightweight sensation Teofimo Lopez will look to extend his win streak to 13 when he faces former world title challenger and two-time European lightweight champion Edis Tatli in a twelve round co-main event.

21-year-old Shakur Stevenson looks to bring his win streak to 11 when the former Olympic silver medalist faces former world title challenger Christopher Diaz in a ten-round contest.

And finally, one of Puerto Rico’s finest boxing athletes, Felix Verdejo faces former interim lightweight champion Bryan Vasquez in a ten-round bout with potential title implications.
