The Redskins Could Use This Free Agency to Get a Little Revenge on the Giants
March 15th, 2013 at 10:23 AM
***PHOTO1*** The 2013 NFL Free Agency has begun and in tradition with the Mike Shanahan and Bruce Allen era the Redskins have been pretty quiet. I'm pretty sure this is mostly due to the fact that the Redskins are still dealing with their cap penalty handed down by the NFL...

March 12th, 2013 at 11:42 AM
The Washington Redskins are having to make some tough personnel decisions this offseason. They avoided major heartburn from the Redskins fanbase on Tuesday morning by restructuring wide receiver Santana Moss' deal, shaving approximately $2 million off the cap.
Moss quickly endeared himself to Redskins faithful after coming over from the New...

March 11th, 2013 at 1:06 PM
The Brandon Banks experiment with the Washington Redskins has officially come to an end. The team has chosen not to tender the restricted free agent, which allows him to sign with any other NFL team without the Redskins receiving compensation.
The former Kansas State standout was signed as an undrafted free agent...

February 19th, 2013 at 5:16 PM
The Washington Redskins took a major risk signing wide receiver Pierre Garcon to a major contract in the offseason, aiming to give Robert Griffin III a deep threat. Garcon didn't disappoint when he was on the field but getting in to the game proved to be a difficult task after...

The Washington Redskins loaded up at wide receiver this offseason to usher in a new era of D.C. football. Many of these new receivers are fighting to make the team. Right now, Dezmon Briscoe is one of them. Currently outside of the top six receivers, what are his chances of making the...
Washington Redskins Wide Receiver Battles: Size Matters
August 14th, 2012 at 3:05 PM
The Washington Redskins have turned over most of the team since the arrivals of Bruce Allen and Mike Shanahan. One of the major changes has taken place at wide receiver and it's beyond just bringing in new players; it's a new philosophy--which looks surprising like Green Bay's. In the last...
Washington Redskins: Take Aways from Last Night’s Win in Buffalo
August 10th, 2012 at 11:16 AM
***PHOTO1*** I just want to start out by saying, "damn I'm good at predicting things." In article yesterday about what to watch for in the preseason opener I pointed out a few players and positions to watch and boy did those things shine through last night.
The good news is that...

Tonight is the night we've been waiting for since we heard NFL Commissioner Rodger Goodell say back in April, "With the second pick in the 2012 NFL Draft the Washington Redskins select quarterback Robert Griffin III from Baylor University."
There has been a lot of talk, a lot of hype because...

The Washington Redskins’ Surprise Player of 2012: Aldrick Robinson
July 21st, 2012 at 2:19 PM
Sparked by a question asked on Twitter, @LL_HTTR has convinced me that Aldrick Robinson will be the surprise of the season. Robinson was called up from the practice squad by the Washington Redskins in the latter part of the 2011 season, after another team offered him a roster spot. Even...
Brandon Banks Will Have to Contribute on Offense If He Wants to Make 2012 Roster
June 13th, 2012 at 5:15 PM
***VIDEO1***
Following Tuesday's minicamp practices, Washington Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan said he's informed third year kick returner Brandon Banks that he'll have to contribute on offense if he wants to make the team.
Banks is undoubtedly an explosive player, but nagging knee injuries slowed down his ability to return kicks in...

May 13th, 2012 at 3:47 PM
While catching up with the Redskins’ free agent signings, I came across an interesting prospect: Lance Lewis, a six foot, 208 pound wide receiver out of ECU. Signed as an undrafted rookie, Lewis will has an uphill battle ahead of him; fighting with Santana Moss, Anthony Armstrong, Niles Paul (unless...
Robert Griffin III and Incoming Free Agents Bring Balance to the Washington Redskins
May 7th, 2012 at 4:48 PM
Since 2008, the Washington Redskins have failed to gain more yards or score more points over a season than their opponents. Now, Robert Griffin III and a pair of free agent receivers will do their best to bring balance back to the Nation's Capital.
At the beginning of free agency, the...

Come one, come all, the Washington Redskins are taking over a local Gentlemen's Club! Well not exactly.
Brought to my attention this morning via Twitter, a fellow Skins fan and Twitter friend of mine, Danny (@recordsandradio) retweeted a tweet from a local gentlemen's club, named The Stadium Club, that read:
#showtimesaturdays @thestadiumclub...
The Washington Redskins Outbid the Cleveland Browns Again
March 26th, 2012 at 12:57 PM
***PHOTO1***
Cleveland Browns general manager/president of football operations/football guru Mike Holmgren must be saying to Browns season ticket holders "Damn those sneaky Redskins have thwarted me again!"
We all remember the hub-bub last week when Holmgren told (whined to) season ticket holders that the Browns made just as an aggressive offer to...
Too Much Competition for Eddie Royal in Washington?
March 16th, 2012 at 12:49 PM
Hearing that too much competition was one of the reasons Eddie Royal choose the San Diego Chargers, over the Washington Redskins, is music to the ears. It's not that Eddie Royal wouldn't have been a good fit on the Redskins, but they scared away a good player because they have TOO...

Peyton Manning: What’cha Gonna Do Redskins Fans When Peyton Mania Runs Wild Over You
March 8th, 2012 at 8:22 AM
***PHOTO1***
First off I'd like to apologize for the horrifically dated 1980's Hulk Hogan headline and secondly since I've yet to see it in print I'm laying claim to Peyton Mania and anyone outside of Redskins101.com owes me quarter anytime they use it (time to get rich folks).
As you loyal readers...

March 5th, 2012 at 6:58 PM
The NFL's wide receiver market has lost four of its most productive options. Three were franchised; Dwayne Bowe, Wes Welker and DeSean Jackson. Stevie Johnson was the fourth, who signed a 5 year deal to remain with the Buffalo Bills. Now that the top half is knocked off the list -- with exceptions to Vincent Jackson and Marques Colston -- the...
Would Signing Vincent Jackson Be a Mistake for the Washington Redskins?
February 12th, 2012 at 6:03 PM
There is no question about V-Jax's talent. However, questions have been raised about his character and whether he'll be a Washington Redskin or not. According to Michael Lombardi, he is supposed to hit the free agent market this offseason. To figure out if it would be smart to invest in Vincent Jackson, we'll need to go back to the drawing board; pros and cons.
