REDSKINS 101

  Here is my first look at the Washington Redskins 53 man roster. Half way through the pre-season, the team is starting to shape up and it's much easier to see who is doing well. We also have a better feel for player's injuries, including the ones for those on the bubble who are in danger of being cut. First thing you will notice is a lot of new and young faces, with a few familiar veterans in key positions.

Quarterback (3)- John Beck, Rex Grossman, Kellen Clemens

Running Back (3) – Ryan Torain, Tim Hightower, Roy Helu

Fullback (2) – Darrel Young, Mike Sellers

Wide Receiver (6) – Santana Moss, Jabar Gaffney, Anthony Armstrong, Leonard Hankerson, Terrence Austin, Brandon Banks

This is assuming that by the final week of pre-season, Brandon Banks is healthy-ish. Otherwise Both Niles Paul and Donte Stallworth have a chance to earn the final spot.

Tight End (3) – Chris Cooley, Fred Davis, Logan Paulsen

Offensive Line (9) – Trent Williams, Kory Lichtensteiger, Will Montgomery, Chris Chester, Jamal Brown, Sean Locklear, Maurice Hurt, Erik Cook, Willie Smith

Defensive Line (6) – Barry Cofield, Stephen Bowen, Adam Carriker, Jarvis Jenkins, Anthony Bryant, Kendrick Gholston

Huge turn around from last year. Love the additions.

Linebacker (8) – Brian Orakpo, London Fletcher, Rocky McIntosh, Ryan Kerrigan, Keyaron Fox, Perry  Riley, Lorenzo Alexander, Rob Jackson

Cornerback (5) – DeAngelo Hall, Josh Wilson, Kevin Barnes, Phillip Buchanon, Brandyn Thompson

Safety (5) – LaRon Landry, Oshiomogho Atogwe, Reed Doughty, DeJon Gomes, Kareem Moore

Big fan of DeJon Gomes. I would expect them to cut Horton or place Kareem on PUP/ IR to keep Gomes.

 Kicker (1) – Graham Gano

Punter (1) – Sav Rocca

Long Snapper (1) – Nick Sundberg
