Four-year NFL veteran wide receiver Jamison Crowder is on the cusp of signing a new contract with the New York Jets. This is according to Ian Rapoport who initially reported on the news. Crowder, a Duke product, spent the entirety of his NFL career with the Washington Redskins.

Jamison Crowder battled through an ankle injury for the majority of the 2018 season, limiting him to just nine appearances and seven starts. During his time on the field, the slot receiver recorded 29 receptions on 49 targets for 388 yards and two touchdowns. His best game came in Week 16 against the Tennessee Titans when he recorded five receptions for 78 yards.
Crowder initially entered the league as a fourth-round pick in the 2015 NFL Draft. Selected by the Washington Redskins, Crowder appeared in all 16 games as a rookie, starting six. Catching passes from then-quarterback Kirk Cousins, Crowder finished his rookie season with 59 receptions on 78 targets for 604 yards and two touchdowns.
Over the course of his career, the 5’9″ wide receiver has recorded 221 receptions for 2,628 yards and 14 touchdowns while playing in 56 of a possible 64 games. Additionally, Crowder has also recorded 15 carries for 64 yards. Crowder’s best season likely came in 2016, when the second-year receiver recorded 67 receptions on 99 targets for 847 yards and seven touchdowns. Crowder also lost two yards on two rushing attempts in 2016.
Prior to joining the NFL, Crowder spent four years playing college football at Duke University. Contributing immediately as a true freshman, Crowder recorded 14 receptions for 163 yards and one touchdown as a freshman. Crowder earned a starting job as a sophomore and spent the next three seasons as Duke’s primary slot receiver. By the time his collegiate career was over, Crowder had recorded 283 receptions for 3,641 yards and 23 touchdowns. His best season likely came as a Junior, when he recorded 108 receptions for 1,360 yards and eight touchdowns while starting all 14 games.
