According to Yahoo Sports, the Toronto Raptors have finalized a deal with the Sacramento Kings. In the trade, the Raptors would send Rudy Gay, Quincy Acy and Aaron Gray to the Kings for Greivis Vasquez, Chuck Hayes, John Salmons and Patrick Patterson. There was a lot of talk surrounding the future of Rudy Gay with the Raptors' franchise and it seems like his short time with the team has come to an end.

One of the big reasons surrounding the trade is Gay's $19 million player option for 2014-2015. That is a lot of cap space to give to any player, let alone someone who is struggling. Gay is averaging 19.4 points per game and 7.4 rebounds per game on 38.8% shooting this season.

Aaron Gray has only appeared in four games for the Raptors this season where he is averaging 1.2 points and 2.0 rebounds per game. Quincy Acy is averaging 2.7 points and 2.1 rebounds in seven games.

Greivis Vasquez is averaging 9.8 points per game and 5.3 assists per game for the Kings. The 6'6 point guard is a good ball handler and does a great job finding his teammates. Vasquez is under the books for just over $2 million this season and has a qualifying offer worth $3.2 million for 2014-2015. He can become a free agent after this season.

John Salmons was acquired by the Raptors several years ago but refused to come to the team. It is unknown whether he will play for them this time. Salmons is averaging 5.8 points per game, 2.6 rebounds per game and 2.4 assists per game this season. Salmons is on the books for $7 million the next two seasons, with next year being partially guaranteed.

Chuck Hayes is averaging 2.1 points per game and 2.9 rebounds per game this season. He is one of the better post defenders in the league despite being a 6'6 power forward. Hayes is on the books for just under $6 million each of the next two seasons.

Patrick Patterson is a 6'9 power forward who is averaging 6.9 points per game and 5.8 rebounds per game this season. Patterson is on the books for $3 million this season and has a qualifying offer worth $4.3 million next season. He can become a free agent after this season.

Needless to say, Rudy Gay, Aaron Gray and Quincy Acy will not be in the lineup for the Raptors tonight against the Lakers. The Raptors won't have any of the new acquisitions as they will have to pass a physical prior to coming to the team.

With this deal, the Raptors have to waive one player as they would be over the 15-man limit.
