When the Pro Bowl rosters were announced a few weeks ago, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers only had one player named to the NFC team.
Well, now that the Atlanta Falcons and San Francisco 49ers have made the NFC Championship game, we know that defensive tackle Gerald McCoy will be joined by another teammate in Hawaii.
That's because the Falcons' Julio Jones or the 49ers' Frank Gore will have to back out of the Pro Bowl if their respective team advances to the Super Bowl.
The Bucs have two first alternate players in wide receiver Vincent Jackson and running back Doug Martin, which means they would be the guys to replace Jones and Gore, respectively.
If Atlanta advances, then Jackson would go make his third trip to Hawaii. If San Francisco wins, Martin would make the Pro Bowl in his first season.
