Who: Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-6) vs. Philadelphia Eagles (3-9)
When: Sunday, 12/09 at 1 PM
Where: Raymond James Stadium
Radio: WFUS 103.5 FM/WDAE 620 AM
Last Meeting: These two once heated rivals last squared off in 2009 with the Eagles handing the Bucs a bad 33-14 loss in Week 5.
Key Matchup on Offense:
WR Vincent Jackson vs. CB Nnamdi Asomugha – Jackson has thrived with his new team. Across from Jackson trying to slow him down will be Asomugha, last season's top free agent, who hasn't. Asomugha, like the rest of Philadelphia's pass defense, has given up some big plays this year, and he isn't the same dominant defender he once was. He will have a hard time defender the bigger, stronger Jackson, who has 50 receptions for 1,014 yards and seven touchdowns this season. The Bucs need to exploit the Eagles' shoddy secondary and need a solid game from Jackson to help them get back to their winning ways.
Key Matchup on Defense:
Tampa Bay's linebackers vs. RB Bryce Brown – The Eagles lost Pro Bowl running back LeSean McCoy to a concussion a few weeks ago, but have seen their rushing numbers increase across the board lately. That's because Brown has taken advantage of his opportunities and is putting up some big numbers. The rookie has 347 rushing yards and four touchdowns in the last two games alone. But he's also fumbled it three times and the Bucs know that. Expect Tampa Bay's stout run defense to try and strip the ball from Brown in hopes of creating a turnover. If they can do that and limit his effectiveness somewhat then the Bucs will likely come away with the victory.
