Part of the fun about holding a night practice for the general public to come out and watch is that the intensity level gets taken up a notch. Players run a little faster, hit a little harder, and play a little better when thousands of fans are out there cheering them on.

But part of the problem is that the chance for injuries increases as well.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers starting cornerback Aqib Talib suffered a hamstring injury during practice on Saturday night and was held out most of Monday morning's session as a result. Head coach Greg Schiano didn't make Talib's injury sound too serious and said that the fifth-year corner took it easy on the field today as a "precautionary" measure.

Talib is no stranger to hamstring injuries and has battled them many times during his career. Hopefully, it is very minor and Talib will be back soon because Buccaneers101.com has already talked about how important it is for the Bucs to have their starting corners on the field during the beginning part of the season.

Taking Talib's place with the first-team defense today was Myron Lewis. By many accounts, Lewis has had a strong camp and has earned a larger role.

However, Lewis has done next to nothing during his first two years in Tampa Bay after being selected in the third-round of the 2010 NFL Draft. He has battled injuries and hasn't lived up to expectations.

Maybe Lewis is starting to turn things around. If that is the case, his improved play better carry over into live games because Lewis might now get many more chances to prove himself.
