In the October 22 issue of Sports Illustrated, Pete Thamel and Thayer Evans wrote a great cover story about former LSU cornerback and pop culture phenomenon Tyrann Mathieu, known colloquially as the "Honey Badger." For those of you who don't know, Badger was an explosive (hybrid) cornerback and return man who helped the LSU Tigers win the SEC and lose the National Title game in 2011. He was dismissed from the team prior to this season for failing multiple drug tests.

Along with a look at Badger's personal life, the piece also examines some eligibility issues that Mathieu might face when he hopes to return next season. His image on advertising and personal promotions may prevent him from playing for the Tigers (or anyone) ever again. Check out the fascinating piece below.
