Writer Shannon Sims moved to Washington in 2004, where she discovered that along with the beautiful country and diversity the state has to offer, the Seahawks and their fans are unlike any other. Born into an Army family in Atlanta, GA, Shannon grew up moving around the world from Ohio to Hungary and has experienced many other NFL teams’ fans and traditions but none could hold a candle to what she discovered in the 12th Man.
