Chone Figgins, Seattle Mariners Take Two from Oakland
April 8th, 2012 at 10:30 AM
The Seattle Mariners season opener (V.2.0) in Oakland showcased a much improved Mariners offense. Led by Chone Figgins (no seriously) the Mariners scored 15 runs in two-game series.
Figgins put together two, three-hit games in Oakland that included a triple, double, four RBI's and two runs scored. Not a bad start for a guy who hit .182 last season and was nearly chased out of town by an angry mob, pitchforks...

March 29th, 2012 at 1:30 PM
In game one of the Opening Series in Japan, Mike Carp was busy in left field. He made a nice catch up against the wall and almost a spectacular catch on a line drive off the bat of Kurt Suzuki.
The ball Suzuki hit resulted in a double when Carp's driving effort was just barely not enough...

Michael Saunders Making a Push to Be the Opening Day Starter in Center Field
March 3rd, 2012 at 2:24 PM
Who is this guy in center field right now? It's surely not the Michael Saunders we've seen the past few seasons, at least at the big league level.
Saunders has performed well in AAA. In 2011 he posted a .288 BA, .415 OBP, 7 HR's and 38 RBI's in 64 games for the Tacoma Rainiers but failed to transfer the same kind of production...
