Andrew Baggarly of CSNBayArea.com is reporting the San Francisco Giants have hired former big leaguer and former top prospect Todd Linden as a minor league coach.

The 33-year-old will serve as a hitting coach and will be spending his time at Augusta in the Low-A South Atlantic League. Linden will be mentoring some players in spring training and assisting Hector Borg. 

During his five seasons with the Giants, Linden produced a .217 batting average with seven home runs and 28 RBI's in 373 at-bats.

According to a report from Korean news service, SBS, free agent right-handed pitcher Suk-Min Yoon had a throwing session in front of Giants and Baltimore Orioles scouts last Friday at the University of California-Irvine. 

The 27-year-old won the 2011 MVP in the Korean Baseball Organization after recording a 2.45 ERA and 178 strikeouts in 172 1/3 innings. Yoon has been represented by agent Scott Boras since November 2011.
