The San Francisco Giants acquired left-handed pitcher David Huff from the New York Yankees Friday for cash.

The 29-year-old was designated for assignment by the Yankees on Wednesday and the Giants 40-man roster is all set and the team will have 66 players in Spring Training next month.

Huff spent the 2013 season with the Yankees and Cleveland Indians, producing a 3-1 record with a 5.50 ERA in 14 games. He allowed 33 hits, 23 runs, seven home runs, 31 strikeouts and held the opposition to a .237 batting average in 37.2 innings.

During his five seasons in the majors, the lefty has a career 21-27 record with a 5.32 ERA in 69 games.
