Craig Calcaterra of Hardballtalk.nbcsports.com is reporting the San Jose City Council approved Wednesday to a five-year lease extension to keep the San Jose Giants playing at Municipal Stadium through the 2018 season.

Lastly, Giants new signee Michael Morse passed his physical this week and is officially a member of the orange and black. Morse signed a one-year deal worth $6 million, which includes an additional $3 million more if he reaches incentives based on plate appearances.
