San Francisco Giants Sign Mike Morse

Andrew Baggarly of is reporting the San Francisco Giants have signed Mike Morse to a one-year deal.

Jon Heyman of is reporting Morse's deal is worth $6 million. 

Baggarly also mentions Morse will be the Giants everyday left fielder in 2014 and Gregor Blanco will serve as the backup.

Morse split time with the Baltimore Orioles and Seattle Mariners in 2013, batting .215 with 67 hits, 13 home runs and 27 RBI's in 88 games. He recorded a .270 on-base percentage and .381 slugging percentage totaling a .651 OPS. The right-hander committed zero errors last season in 16 starts in left field.

The Giants hope they get the 2011 version of Morse in 2014 as the nine-year veteran had a career season with the Washington Nationals that year. He showcased a .303 batting average, smacking 158 hits, 31 home runs and 95 RBI's in 146 games. He produced a .360 on-base percentage and .550 slugging percentage equaling a .910 OPS.

The 31-year-old joins Angel Pagan and Hunter Pence in the outfield as the Giants lineup is now all set to go in 2014.
