The good times keeping rolling for San Francisco Giants right fielder Hunter Pence as he was selected as a finalist for the 2013 Hank Aaron Award on Monday.
The award named after former All-time Home Run leader Hank Aaron is given annually to the top hitter and best offensive performer in each league voted on by baseball fans, members of the media and a vote of select Hall of Fame players.
Each club in Major League baseball has a nominee and the award is handed out to the two winners before Game 4 of the World Series every year. Aaron himself presents the award that first came into play in 1999.
If Pence can capture this prestigious award, he will become the third Giants player in franchise history to do so. Barry Bonds won the award on three occasions in 2001, 2002 and 2004. Buster Posey took home the honors last season.
