San Francisco Giants Place Three Players on Waivers

Three members of the San Francisco Giants were placed on waivers Saturday and all were claimed by other teams.

Jon Heyman of is reporting Tim Lincecum, Hunter Pence and Javier Lopez were all claimed but expects none of them to be going anywhere. 

Heyman says the Giants could still technically trade any of the players, but it appears the claiming teams were doing so to block trades.

Lincecum is 7-13 this season with a 4.55 ERA in 26 starts this season. Pence is batting .279 with 143 hits, 15 home runs, 64 RBI's and has played in all 131 games. Lopez is 2-2 with a 1.99 ERA in 55 games this season.

Lincecum and Lopez were key members to the Giants championship  teams in 2010 and 2012, while Pence is playing his first full season with the orange and black. The Giants have 31 games left in the season.
