The San Francisco Giants made some roster moves Saturday optioning second baseman Nick Noonan to Triple-A Fresno and activating second baseman Tony Abreu from the 60-Day DL.
Noonan batted .203 in 37 games, while smacking 12 hits, one double, three RBI's, four walks, 14 strikeouts and scored six runs. He produced a .254 on-base percentage and .220 slugging percentage equaling a .474 OPS. He recorded one three-hit game this season.
Abreu batted .300 in 15 games at Fresno, connecting with 12 hits, three doubles, one home run, four RBI's, one walk, 10 strikeouts and scored three runs in 40 at-bats. He managed a .341 on-base percentage and .450 slugging percentage reaching a .791 OPS.
