Pablo Sandoval to Miss a Week with a Strained Left Foot

San Francisco Giants third baseman and 2012 World Series MVP Pablo Sandoval will miss up to a week with a strained left foot.

The Panda took an MRI and the results showed the prognosis. Giants manager Bruce Bochy said Sandoval is not available off the bench and if the injury doesn't improve in a few days, he could be placed on the disabled list.

Sandoval is batting .288 in 53 games, smacking 61 hits, seven doubles, eight home runs, 37 RBI's, 12 walks and 25 strikeouts. He has produced a .328 on-base percentage and .434 slugging percentage totaling a .761 OPS.

The Panda has recorded 19 multi-hit games, three three-hit games and one four-hit game. The two-time All-Star  is batting .397 in scoring position with 23 hits in 58 at-bats, while batting .295 with two outs with 26 hits in 88 at-bats. 

Sandoval has committed seven errors in 52 games and is producing a .939 fielding percentage.
