Chargers sign the 6 foot 230 lbs Ex-Dolphin Ronnie Brown to a one year contract. The veteran arrived in San Diego Sunday night. Wasting no time, he finalized his contract, took his physical, and went straight to OTA practice.

In 2008 Brown was voted to the Pro Bowl after recording 10 TD's, and 916 yards.  In his career at Miami, he rushed for 4815 yards and 36 TD's. He ranks third on the Dolphins all time rushing yards and touchdowns. He also threw for 2 touchdowns and was instrumental in the success of Miami's 'Wildcat' offense. Brown is expected to be featured in Chargers wildcat packages.

Luckily for Brown, he has had experience with San Diego's offense, working with Head Coach Norv Turner in 2002-03 when Turner was Miami's offensive coordinator. Also experience with Ex-Charger offensive coordinator and former Dolphins Head Coach Cam Cameron.

“For me, it’s just about coming in and putting in work,” Explained Brown “I appreciate the opportunity, now I’ve got to do my part as far as coming in and learning my place as far as the plays and being able to come in and help Ryan (Mathews) and some of the stuff that I’ve just been around for years".

Norv Turner on Brown:“He gives us competition. He gives us a guy who’s been very good in third-down and two-minute type situations. I’m anxious to get Ronnie in here and go to work with him.” With the absence of Mike Tolbert, it's just what the Bolts will need for their running game.

Brown is coming off one of his worst seasons of his career in Philadelphia. Only rushing for 136 yards, one touchdown and not catching a single pass all season.

“Last year wasn’t anywhere as far as where I expected to be able to contribute and come in and do my part. I feel like it’s a great starting point here" Said Brown.

Look for Brown to become a big part of the Chargers offense in 2012.
