The Pittsburgh Steelers are in the middle of reworking their roster. As the offseason continues, they will also receive some salary cap relief on June 2, when linebacker LaMarr Woodley officially comes off the books. While they will need that money to finish signing draft picks, they could also look to boost their roster with a veteran.
One interesting prospect that could be battling for a spot is undrafted rookie free agent Roy Philon from Louisville. The 6-3, 298-pound defensive tackle has some athleticism and strength, but he will have to prove he is healthy after undergoing shoulder surgery in January. While he did participate in his Pro Day (5.15 40-yard dash), he was unable to complete the bench press and some other drills as he recovers from the surgery.
