One of the intriguing prospects that the Pittsburgh Steelers reportedly spent some time with at his Pro Day is LSU wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. While he may lack the size many fans covet, he is arguably the second best receiver in this class and has a dynamic skillset.

An all-around athlete, Beckham is a threat every time he touches the ball as a receiver or a return specialist. At 5-11 and 198-pounds, he is not a prototypical Red Zone target, but he understands how to get open and he has a large catching radius when tracking the ball. At 4.38 in the 40, his speed is more deceptive that elite, but he plays with a natural feel and uses his fluidity and acceleration to get open.

At this point, that lack of size may be what is keeping him from going inside the top 10 on draft day. He does have the look of a player with the capability of improving his strength, something he must do to continue his development in the NFL. A hard worker over his career at LSU, there is no sign that he will change his colors once he enters the league.

According to general manager Kevin Colbert, there are between 15-and-19 players that would interest the Steelers in the first round and Beckham could be their Steelers target at number 15. Of course, he could also be the player that opens the door for the team to trade down, something that was also mentioned during the Monday press conference. Of course, he would have to be on the board at that point, which he may not be.
