There is no doubt that the Pittsburgh Steelers will add players to their secondary during the NFL Draft. Looking at their visit list, there have been three positions that have stood out during the pre-draft process: wide receiver, cornerback, and outside linebacker. In fact, the majority of visitors during the final weeks of preps have been cornerbacks.

One of the last prospects to visit is a mid-round prospect who is currently flying under the RADAR. Georgia Tech cornerback Jemea Thomas may lack prototypical size (5-9, 192-pounds), but he plays with a physical style and top-notch instincts.

A versatile defensive back, he is a two-year starter in the Georgia Tech secondary with experience at both cornerback and safety. While he lacks straight-line speed (4.52 40-yard dash), he is a fluid athlete and understands positioning to make plays.

Due to his size and aggressiveness, Thomas does come with durability concerns as he enters the league. Even with his size limitations, his versatility, and experience on defense and as a punt returner should make him an intriguing mid-round option. The Steelers will likely add two or three defensive backs during the draft and a prospect with position flexibility could rise up their draft boards.
