As game day draws near for the Pittsburgh Steelers, the big question in most fans minds is what will the offensive line look like on Sunday? For good reason, as the unit has been battered and bruised all season, and may resemble more of a patchwork quilt this weekend against the Miami Dolphins.

Incredibly, this is the second season in a row that the offensive linemen have taken a beating. The difference is that this year, there is even less depth on the roster after the team parted with veterans Max Starks, Willie Colon and Doug Legursky during the off-season.

This week is especially challenging, as the team has lost center Fernando Velasco to a Achilles injury. Velasco has been a stabilizing force since taking over for injured Maurkice Pouncey in the opener. In fact, the improvement in the line has been a huge reason why the Steelers were able to claw their way toward respectability after their 0-4 start.

With the loss of Velasco and decision of recently signed tackle Rashad Butler to depart the team for personal reasons the team was forced to make another roster move to address the offensive line. The team signed center/guard David Snow, a former undrafted rookie free agent from Texas, who has seen time with the Buffalo Bills (two starts) in 2012.
