The Pittsburgh Steelers were not only embarrassed by the New England Patriots, they were physically battered. In all, the team saw three more starters leave the game due to injury and their status remains unclear.

At this point, the two biggest injury concerns would likely be Vince Williams and Ike Taylor, who both suffered concussions against the Patriots. Head injuries are always sticky situation, as players respond differently in their recoveries.

Looking back at previous Steelers that have suffered concussions, there have been different outcomes from week-to-week. Linebacker Jarvis Jones, who suffered a concussion against the New York Jets missed the following week. While Ramon Foster, who suffered one against the Oakland Raiders returned to action the following week against the Patriots. If Taylor and Williams cannot go, cornerback Cortez Allen and inside linebacker Kion Wilson would likely start in their place.

The ankle injury suffered by Marcus Gilbert could also impact the Steelers moving forward. With David DeCastro already battling an ankle injury, the offense line could be in for another shuffle if Gilbert cannot go. If DeCastro can return to the line-up, Guy Whimper would likely slide outside to right tackle; if he cannot, Mike Adams would likely slide over to the right side.

Lost in the beat down was the fact that quarterback Ben Roethlisberger passed a milestone for his career, tossing his 200th touchdown pass. He now sits at 203 only nine away from tying Terry Bradshaw for the franchise all-time record.
