With the kick-off between the Pittsburgh Steelers (0-4) and New York Jets  (3-2) inching closer, the inactive lists for both teams have been released. Looking at the Steelers inactive list, there are not many surprises, as the team is finally healthy and the list is populated by coaches’ decisions.

For the Steelers it is pretty much status quo from the projected inactive list. The headliners so to speak are offensive tackle Mike Adams, who was demoted to third string during the bye week and wide receiver Markus Wheaton. Wheaton underwent surgery to repair a broken pinkie finger early in the bye period and will not return until the injury allows.

With Wheaton out, wide receiver Derek Moye will be active, marking another change from previous weeks. Joining Adams and Wheaton will be, running back Isaac Redman, outside linebacker Chris Carter, nose tackle Hebron Fangupo, quarterback Landry Jones, and guard Cody Wallace. None of these players on the inactive list are a surprise, as the majority of the list has spent previous weeks on the sidelines.

For the Jets, there are not many surprises as they will see cornerback Antonio Cromartie back on the field. Highlighting their inactive list is former Steelers wide out Santonio Holmes, who is still recovering from a foot injury. Joining Holmes on the sideline will be offensive linemen  Oday Aboushi, William Campbell and Ben Ijalana, quarterback Brady Quinn, cornerback Dee Milliner and linebacker Troy Davis as their Week 6 inactives.
