When Steelers 101 broke down the Pittsburgh Steelers offensive line, there was some trepidation with the projections. Honestly, behind the top six players along the offensive line, the players making the roster could go many different ways.

One player that was somewhat overlooked in our projections was offensive lineman Mike Golic Jr. When he was profiled, his experience at both guard and center was what was featured. During OTAs and minicamp, the Steelers have been working him out at right tackle.

For Golic, who has been working with his father Mike Golic at times, this position flexibility could give him an advantage. When Steelers 101 did the projections, two center guards and two tackles were kept behind the starting five. However, if Golic can show an aptitude at right tackle, he may be able to unseat either Guy Whimper or Joe Long, who may lack the position flexibility Golic could offer.

Yes, at this point, any projections based on football in shorts are a bit of a stretch, but that is what makes the offseason great. One thing is certain, everyone will find out on July 26 when training camp opens.
