According to timesonline.com sports writer Mike Bires, Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker James Harrison worked out on Monday and should be able to play come Sunday.
This Sunday the Steelers will take on the New York Jets after suffering their second loss in a row to the Denver Broncos this past weekend. Harrison didn’t play in the game as he has been rehabbing his knee after undergoing an arthroscopic knee surgery during training camp.
The Steelers also should have starting offensive linemen Ramon Foster (eye) and Marcus Gilbert (knee) in the line-up when they take on the Jets, after both players left during the first half of the season opener. Their absence forced the team to play with only five offensive linemen throughout the second half against the Broncos, making head coach Mike Tomlin rethink the make-up of the game day roster and dressing only seven linemen. If the team decided to dress all eight linemen on the roster, rookie seventh round pick Kelvin Beachum could be active for the first time in his NFL career.
