Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Brooks Orpik sat out Thursday's and Friday's practice sessions with a minor lower-body injury (love those vague NHL injury reports), but returned to the ice Saturday. His place on the doctors table was filled by 2013 Norris Trophy Finalist Kris Letang, who won't practice today or Sunday with a a lower-body injury of his own.
Both injuries are not considered serious. Letang, who participated in practice Friday, will be looked at by doctors when the Penguins arrive back to Pittsburgh after their team-building exercise at West Point. Orpik's boo-boo occurred during the last preseason game against the Detroit Red Wings.
The Penguins need to trim the roster down to twenty-five players and $1 million dollars less by the NHL's Monday deadline.
