If you’re an “old-school” Phoenix Suns fan, you may be happy to hear the team will be bring back one of its more popular uniform designs for select games this season.

The Suns will don the black alternate road uniform the team wore in the mid-1990s. The front of the uniform features the “streaking Suns” logo. The team Sports uniform expert Chris Blackstone reports the Spring 2013 Adidas NBA Catalog says the Suns are one of 12 teams who will wear alternate jerseys with designs that harken back to nearly 20 years ago.

The catalog reports the alternate jerseys — part of the NBA’s Winter Collection — will be worn by teams playing on Christmas Day, as well as their weekend home games during the second half of the season.

The other teams who will wear Winter Collection jerseys this season include Indiana, Miami, Cleveland, Chicago, Philadelphia, Toronto,
Houston, Utah, Atlanta, Sacramento and Milwaukee.

The Suns are scheduled to unveil a new uniform design for the 2013-14 season.
