For the second time this season, a member of the Philadelphia Eagles has been honored by the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The first player was quarterback Nick Foles for his record-tying seven touchdown performance against the Oakland Raiders. This time it is running back LeSean McCoy for his performance against the Detroit Lions in the "Snow Bowl."

McCoy ran 29 times for 217 yards and two touchdowns against the Lions on Sunday. The best part about it is that he ran through EIGHT INCHES OF SNOW.

His 217 rushing yards also set a new franchise record for the Eagles. Steve Van Buren set the franchise record against the Pittsburgh Steelers on November 27, 1949 when he rushed for 205 yards. It took 64 years for the record to be broken and it was the oldest record that had yet to be broken.

145 of McCoy's 217 rushing yards came in the fourth quarter alone. 97 of those rushing yards came on two carries, each resulting in a touchdown. Those touchdown runs were for 57 and 40 yards. Those runs also put him in the record books as he became the fourth player in the history of the NFL and the first Eagle in 68 years to run for two touchdowns of 40+ yards in the fourth quarter of a game.

Because of his performance, the Pro Football Hall of Fame requested that the Eagles send some of his gear to be put on display. Sitting in a display case just a few steps away from the display case containing Nick Foles' jersey and cleats from the Raiders game sits McCoy's jersey, cleats and gloves from the "Snow Bowl."

McCoy is also on the short-list of candidates to win this weeks FedEx Ground Player of the Week due to his performance. It would not come as a surprise to see McCoy win this honor too. McCoy has won the award once this season for his performance against the Washington Redskins in the season opener. McCoy ran for a touchdown and 184 yards in that game. He has won the award four times since coming into the league.
