During games, the Eagles have an attendant to look after the cars of the players. No one in the organization expected a car attendant to steal from the players though. But that is exactly what happened.
Robert Von Ryan, a resident of Philadelphia, was charged by Federal officials for bank fraud. Zane David Memeger, the U.S. Attorney, said Von Ryan stole documents out of Herremans' car. The documents had information on his checking account, After coming into possession of these documents, Von Ryan was able to transfer money into his account and the transfers occurred between 2009 and 2012.
The Eagles no longer use the security service that employed Von Ryan.
The money that Von Ryan took was reimbursed by Herremans' insurance company.
