A pitbull breeding kennel, Northland Pits, had 27 dogs seized from it on May 21 as reported by the Leader-Telegram. The owner of the kennel, Joseph A. Sudbrink was arrested Friday. The preliminary charges against him are mistreating animals and operating as a dog breeder without a license. Authorities are continuing the criminal investigation.

This wasn't the first time Brown had sent his dog to Northland Pits. Back in February, Brown sent his dog there for stud services. He recently sent his dog their again before the dog gave birth to seven puppies. According to an affidavit, Sudbrink had offered to take care of the puppies since Brown had no prior experience of caring for puppies.

On Friday, a judge ordered Brown's dog and seven puppies be returned to him.
