There has been months of speculation whether or not Reid would be gone at the end of the season, but during the final month of this season it appeared to be clear that Reid would be gone at some point. However, the team has not announced a press conference and a team spokesman said that Reid has in fact not be fired.

Reid was the longest tenured head coach in the NFL at 14 years and he had only three losing seasons during his tenure. However, his main downfall was not bringing a Super Bowl win back to Philadelphia as well as having a 1-4 record in NFC Championship games. Reid brought the Eagles back to relevance in the early 2000's, but over the past few seasons the team has begun a slow decline.

Due to Reid's success during his time in Philadelphia, it is expected he will have multiple job offers if he decides to coach for a team in 2013.
