Monday afternoon during head coach Andy Reid's weekly press conference at the NovaCare Complex, it was revealed that quarterback Nick Foles suffered a broken hand during the game on Sunday against the Washington Redskins and that it would be unlikely he would start. As it stands now, Michael Vick is set to start the season finale against the New York Giants.
Eagles101 tweeted during the game yesterday that Nick Foles suffered a hand injury, then thought to be a contusion and was being x-rayed at halftime. The results came back negative, and Foles played the entire second half. However, today it was revealed that an MRI after the game showed a hairline fracture in Foles' right hand.
"There's a pretty good chance that Mike will be the starter," Reid said during the press conference. "That's what I'm looking at right now. That's the direction I'm going as we speak right now."
The Eagles will wrap up their 2012 season against the New York Giants at 1:00 on Sunday afternoon.
